In the last few days, there has been a fair amount of skirmishing back and forth about impeachment versus other goals in calling out the corruption and lies of the Bush administration. Most of the cases against impeachment hinge on what a waste of energy and focus proceeding down that path would be while Republicans control both houses of Congress, and how it might possibly diminish electoral returns for the Democrats.
Well, instead of seeing this as a simple "either/or" proposition, it's time to change the frame and acknowledge that the US Congress is NOT the only venue in which to seek justice. Especially, when the Misadministration hasn't been paying much attention to the ramifications of their actions beyond the immediate domestic political calculations. On just the torture issue alone, members of the Bush administration may already be sufficiently exposed to international justice, and the humiliation and consequences that would follow.
