The Downing Street memo, Rovegate, the Roberts' SCOTUS nomination, Paul Hackett's campaign and now Cindy Sheehan's vigil have each burst on the scene with little warning, generated a huge response, had our discussion reflected and reported in the mainstream media, and most thrillingly actually influenced the national consciousness.
I've tried to be involved and active, writing letters and making phone calls, bringing the issues to the attention of those who don't read blogs, making the case both on and off-line for the progressive point of view. Mainly I try to tie things together for people not so inclined, to demonstrate to the apathetic or uninformed how the Bush administration policies are responsible for the problems we face today, and that voting in a way that represents your true interests DOES matter.
